A massive search operation has been launched in the district following the terrorists attack in neighbouring Gurdaspur district yesterday.
District Police Chief Rakesh Kaushal today said that a police party conducted special searches in the semi hilly areas of the district.
He said that special Nakas (check-points) have been set up and vehicles are being searched.

Kaushal said that security has been further tightened along the Ranjit Sagar dam area to prevent any untoward incident.
In a major terror attack, three fidayeen, believed to have come from Pakistan, yesterday attacked passengers in a moving bus and stormed a police station at Gurdaspur district in Punjab, killing seven persons, including an SP, while all the terrorists were gunned down after a day-long operation.
