Singer-actress Selena Gomez says she starred in "Spring Breakers" to shed her Disney image and intends to experiment more with her roles.
The 21-year-old shocked her fans with her appearance in "Spring Breakers", which is a sex-and-drugs-fuelled film, but insists that the movie has helped her to be more confident, reported Daily Star.
"'Spring Breakers' changed people's perception in Hollywood. I think it's exciting to throw people off, so I like it. This opened my eyes and made me more comfortable in taking risks," Gomez said.
"I am excited just to look at what's out there and take the next step and do a couple of different roles - whatever they are," she said.
"Spring Breakers" was released last year.
