Several incidents of robbery in last two days

Several incidents of robbery have been reported from different places in Noida and adjoining area in the last two days, police said today.

Ajay Mittal, a trader, was allegedly robbed of Rs 5 lakh at gunpoint in Greater Noida last night.

Armed men snatched his bag carrying cash and was shot at when he resisted. He suffered a bullet injury in his hand and was rushed to a hospital. His condition is stable, police said.

In a separate incident last night, Raj Singh, a cashier, was allegedly assaulted and, robbed of cash and his mobile phone in Dankaur area of Greater Noida.
 

Singh's bike was found abandoned in Achha village area, the culprits are still untraceable, police said.

Meanwhile, an engineer was allegedly robbed of his mobile phone in sector 20 police area here. In another incident, a software engineer, alleged that some armed men robbed him of his gold chain in the same area.

Also, two motorcycle-borne men, have allegedly robbed two supervisors of a company of Rs 1.5 lakh from, near Surajpur area.

In another incident, three men, allegedly tried to break open an ATM at sector 11 and attempted to rob the cash. Failing to do so, they assaulted its guard Mithlesh and robbed Rs 3000 in cash from him, police said.

At Aichhar village, two shops were burgled and goods worth Rs 4 lakh were robbed, police said.

"FIRs have been lodged at respective police stations. Manhunt has been launched to arrest the robbers," a senior police officer said.
