Scores of partially-clad Shiksha Mitras today staged a protest here demanding pay scale at par with regular teachers.
The protestors, under the aegis of Adarsh Samayojit Shikshak Welfare Association (ASSWA), refused to work on contractual basis and demanded that they be appointed as assistant teachers.
The association warned that if government does not accept their demands, they would stage violent demonstrations.
