Silver futures up by 0.2% on global cues

Silver prices were up by 0.17% to Rs 33,723 per kg in futures trade today largely in step with a better trend in global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March edged up by Rs 57, or 0.17%, to Rs 33,723 per kg, in a business turnover of 143 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in far-month May rose by Rs 55, or 0.16%, to Rs 34,142 per kg in moderate volume of just two lots.
In the international market, silver gained 0.87% to $13.97 an ounce in New York in yesterday's trade.
