After more than a decade, the luxury catamaran Silverjet will ply again on river Hoogly.
"We will begin short river cruise by Silverjet from mid-December and the boat is fully refurburished," city-based Marina Infra Projects managing director Samir Prasad told PTI.
The vessel will be available for short duration charter, he said.
Marine Infra had acquired the vessel early this year. It is currently anchored in Howrah side of the river at the company's facility.
"We had to spend Rs 7.5 crore to acquire and refurburish the boat," he said.
The city's only high-speed transit vehicle to Haldia, the luxury cruise vessel which was initially owned by city based DCL group, was the main transport for Japanese engineers during the construction of Haldia Petrochemicals.
