The Howrah district unit President of Trinamool Congress Chhatro Parishad Tushar Ghosh was today arrested on charge of vandalising a private coaching centre at Andul in the district.
A police officer said Ghosh was arrested by the police from Andul area after the study centre authorities filed a complaint with the local police station.
In a prompt response, the TMC removed Ghosh from the post tonight.
Local MLA and West Bengal minister Arup Roy said the action was taken on the basis of police complaint and the party will never tolerate any inappropriate act by any of its activists.
