Six minor boys have been forwarded to the juvenile board for allegedly raping a class II girl on the outskirts of the city, police said here today.

The police action came after a complaint was filed by the principal of St Rose Secondary School at Umpling.

According to the school principal, a nine-year-old student had confided to friends in his class that he allegedly had sex with the victim.

The friends then informed the class teacher.

During initial enquiry, the minor boy told the police that five other boys aged between 12-17 from other schools had also allegedly had sex with the 10-year-old victim.

The six students were charged under section 376 (rape) of the IPC and forwarded to the juvenile board, the police said.

The sources also said they were on the look out for the stepfather who allegedly raped the girl for the past several months.
