Six minors injured in monkey attack in UP

Six minors were injured when a troop of monkeys attacked them at Gageru village in neighbouring Shamli district, police said today.

The incident occurred yesterday when the children aged around 6-7 years, were playing in the street, they said, adding the villagers later used lathis to chase away the monkeys.

Meanwhile, locals have demanded from the district authorities to rid the village of the ape menace.
