Six mobiles among other banned items seized from jail

Six mobile phones were seized today among a haul of banned items from the district jail in Bihar's Nawada district.

Sub-Divisional Officer (Sadar) Sanjay Kumar Pandey said a team of civil and police official raided the district jail premises during which they seized six mobile phones, three SIM cards, three chargers, besides chewing tobacco and other banned items.

Cases would be lodged against the inmates from whose wards these items were recovered, he said.
