Six persons, including parents of two minor couples, were booked for allegedly solemnising child marriages in Rajasthan's Bundi district, police said today.
A mass marriage ceremony of Mali community was organised in Hindoli area where 28 couples were to be tied in nuptial knots on Wednesday. Two out of the 28 couples were found to be under marriageable age, said SHO Gyanchand, Hindoli police station.
On the basis of a report by sub divisional magistrate, six persons including the priest Bhagwan Sharma, organiser Sanjay Saini and parents of the minor couples were booked under relevant sections of the Prevention of Child Marriage Act.

The investigation into the alleged child marriages is on and other participants of the wedding ceremony are also likely to be booked, he said.
Meanwhile, 13 fresh cases of possible child marriages were lodged today with control room at district headquarter.
