Six-year sentence requested in Berlusconi sex trial

An Italian prosecutor today requested a six-year prison sentence and a lifetime ban from holding public office for former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi at his trial for having sex with an underage prostitute and abuse of office.

"We request a sentence of six years in detention," prosecutor Ilda Boccassini told the courtroom, according to a live audio feed broadcast by news channel Sky TG 24.
