Small sugar gains on mild demand

Small sugar prices gained modestly at the Vashi wholesale market here today on sustained demand from upcountry buyers amidst limited arrivals from mills.

Medium sugar ended mixed on alternate bouts of buying and selling.

Small sugar (S-30) moved up by Rs 8 per quintal at Rs 2,700/2,862 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 2,692/2,862.

Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 2,792/2,955.
