Sofia Coppola to direct 'The Beguiled'

Director Sofia Coppola will write and direct a remake of 1971 Clint Eastwood-starrer "The Beguiled".

In the movie, Eastwood played injured Yankee soldier whose presence inflames tensions at all-girls boarding school in Louisiana, reported the Entertainment Weekly.

Sofia left the live-action adaptation of "The Little Mermaid" over creative differences

Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning are in talks to star in the movie.

Sofia last directed "The Bling Ring".
