Sony launches DTH Theater system priced at Rs 19,990

Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony today launched home theater system specially designed for the Direct-to-Home viewers.

Priced at Rs 19,990 the 1000W DTH Theater with 5.1 channels would be available from April 1 in the market, said Sony in the statement.

"The all new DTH Theater is the world's first home theater system that has been specifically designed to meet the needs of DTH viewers for superb sound quality," Sony said.

Sony further claimed that due to direct DTH connectivity, viewers can enjoy a crisp immersive sound, free from the humming noise of DVD players.

Ashwin would endorse its range of formals and casual shirts, Ramraj Cotton said in a statement.

Ramraj Cotton, which has a turnover of Rs 600 crore and has recently defined its new line of White shirts priced between Rs 600 to Rs 6,000.

CII felicitates 3 women exemplars

* Industry body CII today felicitated three women exemplars, working at the grassroot level, for their outstanding contribution in the fields of Education, Health and Micro-Enterprise at an awards ceremony in New Delhi.

Kalpana Gagdekar received the award in the category of Education for her outstanding accomplishment in regaining dignity and hope for her community of 'denotified and nomadic tribes' and for inspiring completely neglected sections of the society to strive, succeed and restore their rights.

In the category of Health, the CII Foundation Woman Exemplar Award 2014 was confered to Lata Mane for her catalytic efforts in bringing hope, inspiration, confidence and dignity to Female Sex Workers by fighting social stigma and creating awareness on HIV-AIDS prevention in the slum areas of Ghatkopar, Mumbai city.

In the Micro-Enterprise category, the Award was conferred to Devti Baiga for her transformational leadership in enabling better livelihoods, independence and financial security for women, particularly among the Baiga tribal community in the core area of Bandhavgarh National Park, Madhya Pradesh.
