The Delhi High Court today decided to hear the plea of residents of a south Delhi colony relating to the water-logging that occurred in their area.
Appearing before the bench of acting Chief Justice B D Ahmed and Justice Vibhu Bakhru, the residents welfare association of South Extension-II showed video clips and newspaper photos about the water-logging near AIIMS and their area and requested the court to take up the matter today.
The bench, which has been hearing a PIL on the issue, decided to hear their plea tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the court asked the residents to file an application before the court along with the video clips and newspaper photos.
Earlier, while hearing the PIL, the high court had pulled up the civic agencies and other public bodies for their failure to stop water-logging in the city during the monsoon and had asked their heads to depute officers to take care of the work and to hold them accountable.
The bench had asked each Commissioner of the trifurcated MCD to make their Deputy Commissioners responsible to take steps for stopping water-logging in their respective zones and in case of failure to take such measures, the heads will take disciplinary action against the officers responsible.
Similarly, the bench had asked the Public Works Department (PWD) to make their Superintendent Engineers in each circle responsible and accountable for ensuring that the work is carried out.
The court had also expressed anguish over the failure of the civic agencies to de-silt the storm water drains in compliance with its previous order and asked Delhi government's Urban Development Secretary to file an affidavit indicating status of de-silting of the drains.
