To uplift students in naxal-hit areas academically, the district administration has started special coaching in Math and Science for students of restive Abhujmaad region in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district.
The coaching, staring from September 1 at a Higher Secondary school at the Narayanpur district headquarters, will help students in clearing medical and engineering entrance examinations along with regular studies, Assistant Commissioner, Tribal Development G R Shori said.
The step has been taken keeping in view the lack of Mathematics and Science teachers in remote areas, particularly Abhujmaad.
Currently, as many as 513 students of class 12th are getting its benefits, Shori said.
All the necessary arrangements including accommodation and dining have been made by the district administration.
Besides, sufficient number of teachers has been roped in for the task, he said.
From time to time, Collector of the district and CEO, Zila panchayat will also provide guidance to these students to boost their morale and enthusiasm, he said.
