Special prayers were held at a church at Narimedu in the district and United Jamaat here today in memory of 132 schoolchildren killed by armed Taliban suicide bombers at an army run school at Peshawar on December 16.
The prayers were held at a cathedral in Narimedu and were led by Head Priest Jebaraj.
Jebaraj prayed for unity among all sections of people, sought protection of minorities in India and urged the Centre and the Ministers concerned to protect their rights.

Members of the United Jamaat also held prayers in the city, condoling the death of the children in Pakistan.
Jamat President Basheer Ahamed condemned the murder of 132 children and said the massacre is 'anti-Islamic.'
The Jamat condemned acts of terror and the forces that perpetrate.
