Spot demand lifts zinc futures, up 0.95%

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Zinc futures today edged higher by 0.95 per cent to Rs 181.25 per kg as speculators enlarged positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in July moved up by Rs 1.70, or 0.95 per cent, to Rs 181.25 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,266 lots.

Metal for delivery in August too rose by Rs 1.60, or 0.89 per cent, to trade at Rs 181.35 per kg, in a business volume of 45 lots.

Marketmen said enlarging of positions by participants following an improved demand in the spot market, mainly influenced zinc prices at futures trade.
