Leader of the Haryana Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Kiran Choudhry today criticised the BJP Government, led by Manohar Lal Khattar, for the alleged loss of study hours suffered by hundreds of girl students due to staff shortage in some schools in Bhiwani.
In a statement here, the former Excise and Taxation Minister "Of what use is the ambitious campaign like Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" if the BJP Government cannot meet the basic need of girl students for adequate staff.
"Everyone knows that the pass percentage in Class X semester exam in government schools was very low. Still, the state government has not taken any steps to provide adequate staff in schools to improve matters," she said.

"Why spend a large amount of funds on the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign when the state government does not have funds for employing teachers in schools," Choudhry asked.
She demanded that the BJP Government should take immediate steps to fill the vacant posts of teachers in government schools and fulfill its promises made to the students.
