Steel prices remain steady in subdued trade

There was not much activity at the wholesale steel market in the national capital as prices continued to trade in a tight range on lack of worthwhile activity and settled around previous levels.

Traders said negligible enquiries from from construction units mainly kept steel prices unchanged.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 47,900, 10-mm Rs 47,400, 12-mm Rs 45,000, 16-25 mm Rs 45,700.

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 45,700, 10-mm Rs 43,400, 12-mm Rs 42,400, 16-25 mm Rs 42,500.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.

Angle Capital (ISI) (40X5) (40x6) Rs 44,100, (35X5)(65X6) Rs 44,600. Girder (125X65) Rs 41,000.
