Steel prices stay flat in thin trade

Steady conditions continued to prevail at the wholesale steel market in the national capital today as prices moved in a tight range in the absence of buying support and settled at previous levels.

Traders said lack of worthwhile activity from construction units against adequate stocks mainly kept prices unaltered.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne):

Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 44,100, 10-mm Rs 43,600, 12-mm Rs 41,200, 16-25 mm Rs 42,000.

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 45,200, 10-mm Rs 42,900, 12-mm, Rs 41,900, 16-25 mm Rs 42,000.

MS Angle: (50x5) (50x6) Rs 42,000, (40x5) (40x6) Rs 42,800.
