Sting shows cops-auto lifters nexus; SI suspended, 3 sent to

A Delhi Police sub-inspector was suspended and three other officers were sent to Police Lines after a sting-operation purportedly showed them colluding with auto lifters.

Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi took action against the officers and order a vigilance inquiry into the matter after a private Hindi news channel aired footage of the sting operation.

Sub-Inspector Praveen Duggal has been suspended, while Inspector Bhagwati Prashad, Sub-Inspector Anuj Notial and Assistant Sub-Inspector Pavitran have been sent to Police Lines.
