Five persons including a garage owner were arrested as the police today recovered ten stolen four-wheelers from Medininagar and other parts of the Palamau district, the police said.
The district police team conducted raids in the garage owned by one Kewaldhari Viswakarma, which led the police to arrest four others, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hiralal Ravi.
Ravi said the leads provided by the arrested led the police to recover four SUVs from different parts of the district, including Medininagar.
The officer did not rule out the possibility of an inter-state gang operating in Chattisgarh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand and said investigations were on.
