A 19-year-old student was killed and two others were injured today when their motorcycle was hit by a Uttar Pradesh roadways bus, police said.
The incident took place at 8.30 am. Three students of class 11 Anil Sharma, Vikas Yadav and Sangam Yadav, who were riding on the motorcycle, were going towards the Gorakhpur University, Station head officer of Cantonment police station Chandrabhan Singh said.
Sharma died, while two others sustained serious injuries, he said, adding that they have been admitted to a hospital.
Bus driver Brajesh Kumar Singh has been arrested, police said.
