A Sub-Inspector was suspended today for allegedly getting involved in civil disputes and for behaving rudely towards common citizens.
Based on a complaint from a lady petitioner against the SI, K Rajesh ofChilkalguda Police Station that he was getting involved in civil disputes and had also behaved rudely towards common citizens, an enquiry was conducted and the charges were found true, an official release said.
Therefore,on the basis of prima facie evidence, Hyderabad PoliceCommissioner Anjani Kumar placed the Sub Inspector K Rajesh under suspension with immediate effect, it said.
Kumar urged the public not to hesitate to express their grievances directly to him and added that the force follows a policy of zero tolerance as far as bad conduct of officers are concerned towards public.
"Police should not get involved in civil disputes, he said.
The Hyderabad Police chief also appealed to all police officers of the city to be polite, courteous and respectful to citizens, the release added.
