Mentha oil prices moved down by 0.21 per cent to Rs 913.60 per kg in futures market today as participants cut down their bets amid tepid demand from consuming industries at the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in far month April eased by Rs 1.90, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 913.60 per kg in business turnover of 14 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in March contracts fell by Rs 1.30, or 0.14 per cent to Rs 901.50 per kg in 137 lots.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by traders amid sluggish demand from consuming industries at the spot market against adequate stocks on higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh kept pressure on mentha oil prices at futures trade.
