Sugar continues to rule weak on good supply

Both the varieties of sugar prices continued its downtrend at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to poor demand from stockist amidst good supplies from retailers.

Medium sugar (M-30) slipped by Rs 25/30 per quintal to Rs 3,301/3,472 from Wednesday's close of Rs 3,326/3,502.

Small sugar (S-30) dropped by Rs 15/30 per quintal to Rs 3,142/3,365 as against Rs 3,172/3,380 previously.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,142/3,365 (Rs 3,172/3,380).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,301/3,472 (Rs 3,326/3,502).
