Sugar millgate prices eased marginally by Rs 5 per quintal at the wholesale market here today following heavy selling by millers amid selective buying.
Marketmen said ample stocks following persistent supplies by mills mainly pulled down sweetener prices.
In millgate section, sugar Mawana, Dorala, Budhana, Simbholi, Dhampur, Khatuli and Malakpur were down Rs 5 each to end at Rs 2,300, Rs 2,290, Rs 2,280, Rs 2,310, Rs 2,250, Rs 2,310 and Rs 2,250 per quintal, respectively.
