Supporters of two rival councillors clashed in the premises of the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC), leading to the arrest of half a dozen of them, police said today.
A total of 26 people, supporters of the councillors Kunal Patil and Mahesh Gaikwad, have been booked for rioting and causing damage to property, a police release said here.
Police said at least half a dozen persons were arrested from the spot after the clash yesterday.

A couple of guns, hockey sticks and other weapons used in the violence were seized from the rioters, the release said.
The fight took place when a meeting of the general body of the corporation was underway.
The rioters were booked under relevant sections of the IPC and the Arms Act.
