Fishermen from nearby Mandapam today accused Sri Lankan navy personnel of crossing international maritime boundary line (IMBL) to attack and seize their boats and threatened to launch agitation of the Centre fails to take action against them.
Speaking after a meeting of the Fishermen's Association here, its president Ganapathy demanded that the Centre and state governments should take stern action against such intrusion across the IMBL by Sri Lankan naval personnel.
"We will be forced to launch a major agitation if the union government fails to act against the Lankan naval men," he said.
