Tax free status to Mary Kom film

Jharkhand government today announced tax-free status to Priyanka Chopra-starred Mary Kom film.

On the eve of Teachers' Day, Jharkhand cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren approved the proposal to exempt the cinemas from entertainment tax, Cabinet Secretariat and Coordination Department's Principal Secretary J B Tubid said here.

Priyanka plays the lead role in the film based on the life of India's ace boxer Mary Kom of Manipur.
