Term of Maha Statutory Development Boards extended

President Pranab Mukherjee has extended the term of Statutory Development Boards in the state by another five years.

The present term of the Boards, constituted under Article 371(2) of the Constitution, was to end yesterday. The Boards will now function till April 30, 2020, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said.

Governor C Vidyasagar Rao received an intimation to this effect from Rashtrapati Bhavan by a fax message yesterday.

The Statutory Development Boards for Vidarbha, Marathwada and rest of Maharashtra were constituted in 1994.
