THDC chief R S T Sai gets additional charge of NHPC

Chairman and Managing Director of state-run THDC India R S T Sai has been given the additional charge of country's largest hydel power producer NHPC.

"Pursuant to the orders issued by Ministry of Power, R S T Sai has taken over the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director of NHPC on June 8, 2014," NHPC said in a statement.

Sai is CMD of THDC India Limited, which runs the Tehri Hydro Power Complex and other hydro projects. He is an electrical engineering graduate from NIT Warangal and is a fellow of Institution of Engineers.

He has varied experience in Banking, Finance, Commercial, EPC Contracting and Contract Management.
 

Before joining THDC, Sai has worked with SBI, NTPC, Power Grid Corporation and Delhi Metro in various capacities.

At present, G Sai Prasad Joint Secretary (Hydro) in the Ministry of Power was holding the additional charge of the company's CMD.
