A prominent theatre personality of Kandhamal district, Bansidhar Mohanty, passed away last night after a brief illness, family sources said.
Mohanty breathed his last at his residence in Peonpada in Phulbani town of Kandhanal district, they said adding, he was 87 and is survived by three sons and five daughters.
A large number of people belonging to different walks of life thronged Mohanty's residence to pay their last respect.
His sons Amiya and Anil are renowned stage artist and music composer, respectively.
