Theives steal petrol from Gujarat-Mathura pipeline

Unidentified persons stole several litres of petrol by making hole in the Gujarat-Mathura pipeline near village Mal in the district, police said today.

The miscreants not only made a hole and fixed a valve to it but also had joined some improvised pipeline to it, they said.

An FIR was today filed by in this regard by Suman Tutu, T&I Manager Indian Oil Corporation Ltd Mathura, police said adding the case has been registered under relevant sections of Explosives Act and of the Petroleum and Mineral pipeline Act.

"The miscreants would be nabbed shortly," Deputy Superintendent of Police Preeti Priyadarshini said.
