Three persons were killed in a head-on collision between an auto-rickshaw and a pick-up van near Ranhan village in Bihar's Jamui district, police said today.
Two persons died on the spot last night, another succumbed to his injuries while being taken to Patna for treatment, they said. The deceased have been identified as Ashok Vishwakarma, Babloo Vishwakarma and auto-rickshaw driver Mohammad Qayum.
"The deceased were residents of Mahadev Simaria village in the district. They were travelling to Patambar village. The driver of the pick-up van fled with his vehicle after the accident," said Sikandara SHO Ramavtar Paswan.
The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem.
