Three hardcore Naxals held in Jharkhand

Three hardcore Naxals including one carrying a reward of Rs 2 lakh on his head, were arrested today from Saomarangbeda village under Arki police station in Khunti district.

Superintendent of Police Anish Gupta said security personnel consisting of CRPF and district armed police were on an anti-naxal 'Operation Kaaro' in the district when they nabbed the trio.

The three have been identified as Sohrai Munda, who was carrying a reward of Rs two lakh on his head, Vinoo Munda and Dasai Munda, the SP said.

A rifle, six cartridges and naxal literatures were seized from their possession.

21 cases have been pending against Sohrai, of which 20 alone are under Arki police station. The remaining one is in Murhu police station of the district, Gupta said.
