Three injured in gas explosion in Beijing

Three persons were today injured in a gas explosion at an old residential building in Beijing, local authorities said.

The explosion took place this evening in Shijingshan district and seriously damaged the first and second floors of the building.

Residents have been evacuated from the decades-old six- storey building, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
