Three persons axed to death in Andhra Pradesh

Three persons, including a woman, were today axed to death allegedly by two persons, at Channambotlapalam in Prakasam district, police said.

Two persons attacked J Babu (40), J Suseela (38) and K P Rataiah (45) with axe and killed them when the trio was going to their field, Sub Divisional Police Officer Chirala Pream Kazal said.

Prima facie, old enmity could be the reason behind the murder, the officer said, adding the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

Two suspects were picked up in connection with the incident, police said.

A case under relevant sections of the IPC has been registered and investigations are underway, they added.
