Three smugglers were arrested and fourteen kilogram of heroin worth Rs 70 crore in the international market was seized from their possession by the Special Narcotic cell (SNC) of Punjab police here, police said today.
The three smugglers were identified as Simar Pal Gill, posted at Rajasansi Airport as Security officer, while the two others as Hargobind Singh Sodhi and Surjit Singh, both having previous criminal record, a SNC official said.
Hargobind Singh Sodhi is also a known transporter in Punjab.
The accused were arrested yesterday with their SUVs.
