Three youths tore the dress of a woman working with a Noida-based multinational company when she tried to resist their molestation bid at Kavi Nagar area here.
The incident took place late in the night on Wednesday when the woman, who lives with her family in Kavi Nagar area, was returning home alongwith her mother after shopping from a nearby market.
This incident comes close on the heels of a similar case in Siyani Gate area where two youths had also tore a woman's dress when she resisted their molestation bid on April 18.
"When the woman and her mother were passing through a pan kiosk on Wednesday night, three unidentified youths, who were in their 20s, passed lewd comments at the victim and started stalking her. Later, they tried to molest her and tore her clothes when she resisted," said a senior police officer.
Police said that when the woman raised alarm, people rushed towards her and seeing a crowd, the accused ran away, leaving behind their scooty at the spot.
"Based on woman's complaint, a case has been registered against the youths at Kavi Nagar police station. Police have arrested one accused last night and his two accomplices would be arrested soon," the officer said.
