: Tintu Luka, who won a gold and a silver medal at the Incheon Asiad and her mentor,former sprint queen and Olympian P T Usha were accorded a warm welcome today by various organisations, including Kozhikode District Sports Council.
Later, a grand reception was given to them by the Calicut Press Club.
Speaking to mediapersons, Usha said the P T Usha School of Athletics at Koilandy in Kozhikode district was facing financial shorcomings and had been on the verge of closure on a few occasions.

Tintu said that she had been confident of winning and was not tense before the competitions at Incheon.
Tintu won the 800 M silver medal and was a member in the 4x400 metre relay squad which won the gold.
Calicut Press Club President Kamal Varadoor welcomed the athletes.
