Tomboy Suki Waterhouse

Model Suki Waterhouse was "such a tomboy" growing up.

The 23-year-old model said she was never really interested in beauty until she joined the fashion industry, reported Femalefirst.

"My earliest beauty memories are all of really messing it up - trying to shave my legs when I was 10 years old and being yelled at, or having a unibrow and trying to shave that, too. I really wasn't very clued-up as a young girl.

"It took me being in the beauty industry for a while to work it out, in fact. I didn't have much of an interest prior to that because I was such a tomboy growing up."

And Waterhouse said she has learnt that "less is more" when it comes to make-up and says she feels most beautiful when she's not got a lot of make-up on.

"I feel quite relaxed about it now. You start to realise there are a couple of tips and tricks that can really help, but I always feel more beautiful wearing less make-up. The best thing I've learnt since being in the industry is that less is more. Beauty for me is a lot more about feeling my most comfortable.

"People always ask me things like 'What do you like wearing for a date?' but being in clothes I can move in and not having too much on my face is more important for me. Just feeling more like my actual self.
