Top cops attend meet to tackle Maoists

The meeting, attended by three IG-ranked officers, reviewed Maoist operations and movements in forested parts of the three states and how to strike coordination, a senior police officer said.

Logistics of a joint force operation was also discussed.

Besides the IG, Western range West Bengal Gangeswar Singh, Ranchi I G Ranchi Manvinder Singh and IG, Balasore R P Kochi and IG, CRPF operation Bengal Vivek Sahay took part in the deliberations.
