A trader was shot at by two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants near Yamaha crossing in Surajpur area here today.
Deepak, a building material supplier residing in Roopvas, was accompanied by a friend who was a policeman. The duo was on way to meet a friend, police said.
The two stopped at a service road and were standing waiting for a friend when two unidentified men riding a motorcycle came from the wrong side and shot at Deepak.
The condition of Deepak, who has been admitted to a private hospital, is said to be stable.
Old enmity is being suspected as the reason behind the shootout, police said.
