Trinamool leader shot at

A Trinamool Congress leader

was shot at and injured today when unknown gunmen shot at him before the party's office at Agarpara in North 24-Parganas district.

The police said Hyder Ali was shot at and another person suffered bullet wounds when he went to rescue Ali from the motorbike-borne attackers this evening at Nayabasti.

Ali was rushed to a local hospital and his party colleague was admitted to R G Kar Medical College and Hospital, the police said.
