'Twilight' star Jackson Rathbone to star on 'Finding Carter'

Actor Jackson Rathbone, who played vampire Jasper Hale in "Twilight" series, has signed on for a recurring role on season two of the drama "Finding Carter".

The 30-year-old actor will play charming and business-savvy Jared whose morals become jeopardised after he becomes attracted to Carter (Kathryn Prescott), who is underage, reported Entertainment Weekly.

The series, created by Emily Silver, stars Prescott as Carter, a young teenage girl whose life is turned upside-down when it is discovered that the woman she thought was her mother had abducted her when she was a child.

After the "Twilight" franchise wrapped up, Rathbone took on smaller projects, including "City of Dead Men" and the recently finished "Pali Road".
 

Season two of "Finding Carter" is scheduled to air on October 6 at on MTV.
