Two persons have been arrested for allegedly robbing people after distracting them by entering into an argument, police said today.
"The two accused were arrested in Madipur on March 18 and two motorbikes were recovered from them," Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Vijay Kumar, said.
Explaining their modus operandi, the officer said, "The accused would deliberately collide with people coming out of banks, ATMs or at market places and pick up an argument with them to distract their attention. They would then steal valuables from their target and flee from the spot."
During the interrogation the two men confessed to their involvement in several such cases,Kumar claimed, adding police are trying to nab the other accomplices of the arrested duo. PTI CPB.
