Two booked for kidnapping youth in Faridabad

An FIR has been registered against two persons for allegedly kidnapping a man and demanding ransom from his brother, police said today.

According to a police spokesperson, Vijay Shankar, a resident of Lakhi Colony in the district has filed a complaint, alleging that Nandu and Bhagwan Das have kidnapped his brother Maya Shankar and are demanding Rs 23,000 for his release.

The accused have threatened to kill Maya if they are not given the money, the spokesman said.

The accused are absconding and the kidnapped man is still missing, he added.
